Training Board
The Training Board of the Guyana Prison Service provides an oversight for the training of Officers and Inmates, consistent with the Policy of the Minister of Home Affairs to raise the level of professionalism in the organization, and rehabilitate and reform Inmates in preparation for their reintegration into society.
The members identify the training needs of the Guyana Prison Service and recommend training programmes consistent with the needs of the organization to the Director of Prisons for the approval by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
