Recruitment Board
The Recruitment Board of the Guyana Prison Service was established by the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure that the process of selection and appointment of Officer is done in a transparent and objective manner, and in keeping with the prescribe rules and regulations and meet the Job Specification for the position for enlistment.
The Board performs the following functions:
- Shortlist suitable candidate for the filling of vacancies
- Interview applicants who have been shortlisted
- Conduct final interviews for new recruits in the Guyana Prison Service
- Recommend to the Ministry of Home Affairs suitable candidates for recruitment
- Advise the Minister of Home Affairs on matters pertaining to recruitment in the Guyana Prison Service
- Any other function as may be assigned by the Minister of Home Affairs.
